On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of the Cavendish School, I should like to give you a very warm welcome to our website and invite you to explore its content.
For those of you who are already part of the school, I hope it provides you with the information you require but if not, then please don’t hesitate to contact us. For those of you who don’t know us, I hope it gives you some insight into what we are about and what we think is important.
A successful school is built on the relationships that are built between staff, pupils and parents and I believe this is a real strength of the school. Hopefully the website will give you a feeling of who we are as a school. Our aim is to develop young people who will not only leave the school with an excellent set of academic results but will also demonstrate our values of respect, resilience and responsibility.
2020 GCSE Results
The staff and governors of Cavendish wish to congratulate all of our Year 11 pupils for the fantastic GCSE grades they have achieved this year.
Headteacher, Peter Marchant said, ‘The grades that our pupils have achieved are a reflection of their hard work throughout their time at the school and they can rightly feel proud of what they have achieved. They can look forward to the next stage of their education and we wish them well for the future.
A large number of pupils achieved very strong grades and made great progress but a special mention goes to Freddie Bobbin, Ethan Page and Roda Ononivu who gained Grades 8 or 9 in all of their qualifications.’
Reception Year September 2021
Due to Government guidance, all Infant and Primary Schools are unable to host their Open Events for the September 2021 intake. A virtual tour and information will be available on our website and social media from Friday 6 November 2020.
We would love to host our Open Evening and Morning Tours as normal, but we usually have over 200 families attending our Open Events so I am afraid that is just not possible as the risks are far too high and we need to ensure everyone’s safety.
The virtual tour is being professionally prepared and will be as close to the real experience as possible.
Prospectuses’ are available online from our school webpage and hard copies are available for collection from our Main Reception.
All applications for Reception 2021 Year are to be submitted online directly to ESCC by 15 January 2021.
All applications for Year 7 2021 are to be submitted online directly to ESCC by 31 October 2020
