On behalf of the students, staff and governors of the Cavendish School, I should like to give you a very warm welcome to our website and invite you to explore its content.
For those of you who are already part of the school, I hope it provides you with the information you require but if not, then please don’t hesitate to contact us. For those of you who don’t know us, I hope it gives you some insight into what we are about and what we think is important.
A successful school is built on the relationships that are built between staff, students and parents and I believe this is a real strength of the school. Hopefully the website will give you a feeling of who we are as a school. Our aim is to develop young people who will not only leave the school with an excellent set of academic results but will also demonstrate our values of respect, resilience and responsibility.
2017 GCSE Results
At Cavendish School, the staff and governors are delighted to congratulate all Year 11 pupils for achieving another set of excellent results. For a second consecutive year, over 71% of our pupils achieved Grades 9-4 in English & Maths and 65% achieving combined results.
Headteacher, Peter Marchant, said, “We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our Year 11 pupils. Our results across all subjects reflect the hard work and commitment of pupils, parents and staff. Over 90% of pupils achieved A*-C in Triple Science, Art, RE, Music and Photography. The results are another indication of the progress the school has made.
There were a large number of pupils who made significant progress whilst at Cavendish School. Special congratulations go to Poppy Mercer, Annabel Wills, George Kyprianou-Hickman, Joe Dicksee and Charlotte Roberts Rajoo, who achieved the equivalent of A* or A in all of their GCSEs.”
