32 HOURS PER WEEK, Term Time weeks plus Inset days plus 1 extra week.

(Monday to Thursday 8.30-3.30 & Friday 8.30-3.00)
Single Status Grade 4, Points 8-10 (Salary £17,173 – £17,681 pro rata)

We are looking to appoint a Science Technician in our Secondary Phase of our All-through school.
You need to be enthusiastic, confident and an organised individual.

Reporting to the Senior Science Technician, the successful candidate will be required to support the
existing team in co-ordinating the use of practical resources and facilities. You will be trained with an
emphasis on safe working practices to provide assistance to the practical needs of the Science
Curriculum. You will work closely with the Science Teachers and Technicians.

We expect applicants to have passion for Science and in supporting pupil’s learning. Your duties will
be varied and there will be opportunity to develop within the role.

You will have good communications skills and a flexible, self-motivating attitude with a willingness to
learn from more experienced colleagues.

EXAM INVIGILATOR

EXAMINATION INVIGILATORS REQUIRED for 2019

We are currently looking for invigilators to support the school with invigilation of external and internal school examinations. Invigilators play a major part in ensuring a calm environment for our exams and adding to candidates’ confidence in the process.

Exam Invigilators work part-time and seasonally but they carry out a vital role in the life of the school.

The Cavendish School, Eastbourne, is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to join in the continued development and success of our Primary Phase as part of our exciting all through status. The Primary Phase opened its new building in September 2016.  If you have the skills, drive and enthusiasm this could be the perfect role for you.

 

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who believe in creating strong, positive relationships with the children, developing them personally, socially, emotionally and academically and have the ability and determination to ensure excellent progress and to raise standards. You will establish and maintain the highest standards, are flexible and have the potential to get the best out of our pupils. You will need excellent organisation and communication skills and can forge positive relationships with children.

 

You will join a team of dedicated and caring staff in establishing outstanding provision, learning and progress for all our pupils.

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor with an interest in supporting pupils’ learning.  You need to be enthusiastic, confident and an organised individual to:

 

  • Work with our pupils to support their learning.
  • Ensure that pre-prepared work/activities are undertaken by pupils across a range of subjects and manage a class during the short term absence of teachers.
  • Demonstrate an organised and positive approach to students to encourage their learning.
