CARETAKER & MAINTENANCE WORKER

Single Status Grade 4 Points 8-10 (£17,173 – £17,681)

37 hours per week, full time (52 weeks a year)

Hours will be operated on a rota shift system, paid annual leave

Permanent contract

We are seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Caretaker & Maintenance Worker as part of our Site Team.

We opened our brand new primary phase building in September 2016, so our buildings have grown. Being an all through school, we cater for children from age 2 to 16. The role will be challenging but rewarding, and you will be part of a dedicated team. If you have the skills, drive and enthusiasm this could be the perfect role for you.

Your role will be to provide an effective caretaking service and to promote the maintenance of a safe and secure school.    You will need to demonstrate high quality building maintenance skills.   The duties are varied and include site security, maintenance including decorating, working with contractors and cleaning of the building, grounds and minibus.  The ability to drive a minibus and willingness to undergo training is essential.  The working hours will be operated on a rota shift system with colleagues as detailed on the job description.  You will work within health and safety guidelines and will ensure the school building looks its best at all times.

Are you excited about teaching science and PE and raising standards in a school which strives for continuous improvement?   Cavendish School wishes to appoint a dedicated and committed teacher as part of our drive for outstanding teaching across the school.  In September 2015 the school opened the primary phase to become an all-through school, and in September 2016 we opened our new primary phase building.
