Head of Primary Phase
HEAD OF PRIMARY PHASE

Salary Range L16-L20 – £57,077– £62,863

With effect from September 2018

The Governors and Headteacher of The Cavendish School Academy Trust invite applications for the leadership of the Primary phase of this popular and successful school. We are a co-educational comprehensive school of currently 760 Secondary Phase pupils. In September 2015 the School opened the Primary phase with a two form entry Reception to become an All-Through school in existing school buildings. In September 2016, we opened our new Primary Phase building which also incorporated a Pre-School. The primary phase has currently 270 pupils from Reception age to Year 4.

The Primary phase has been highly oversubscribed for the past two years.  Parents cite academic focus, academic results, the dedication of staff and the modern, purpose-built environment, as reasons for choosing the school for their children. The school has a strong ethos and pupils are eager to learn. As the Head of Primary Phase at Cavendish, you would have access to a number of resources offered by us as all-through school, such as whole school professional development, data processing, an attendance office, and excellent outdoor and sporting facilities

Caretaker & Maintenance Worker
CARETAKER & MAINTENANCE WORKER

Single Status Grade 4 Points 8-10 (£16,123 – £16,781)

37 hours per week, full time (52 weeks a year)

Hours will be operated on a rota shift system, paid annual leave

We are seeking to appoint a committed and proactive Caretaker & Maintenance Worker as part of our Site Team.

We opened our brand new primary phase building in September 2016, so our buildings have grown. Being an all through school, we cater for children from age 2 to 16. The role will be challenging but rewarding, and you will be part of a dedicated team. If you have the skills, drive and enthusiasm this could be the perfect role for you.

Your role will be to provide an effective caretaking service and to promote the maintenance of a safe and secure school.    You will need to demonstrate high quality building maintenance skills.   The duties are varied and include site security, maintenance including decorating, working with contractors and cleaning of the building, grounds and minibus.  The ability to drive a minibus or willingness to undergo training is essential.  The working hours will be operated on a rota shift system with colleagues as detailed on the job description.

You will work within health and safety guidelines and will endeavour to make the school building look its best at all times.

The Cavendish School, Eastbourne, is an all through school, with students aged 2 to 16. The primary phase opened in September 2015 and is now occupying a new building from September 2016.
