COVER SUPERVISOR

32.5 HOURS PER WEEK, Term Time weeks plus Inset days

Single Status Grade 4 Points 9-10 (£18,426 – £18,795 pro rata)

Actual Salary £14,318 – £14,604

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor with an interest in supporting pupils’ learning in our Secondary Phase.

The job role consists of:

  • Having an oversight of learning, predominantely in the secondary phase, whilst providing whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher
  • Working within a team of Cover Supervisors and liaise with staff as appropriate
  • Managing the learning environment and resources
  • Undertaking whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work previously prepared by the teacher.

The job role consists of:

  • Having responsibility for teaching in assigned curriculum areas
  • Taking responsibility and be accountable for pupil attainment and achievement, by tracking pupils progress and supporting individual pupils’ learning needs
  • Being consistent in the delivery of all school’s policies and practice
  • Supporting the Progress Leader to secure a high quality learning experience in tutor time
  • Setting high expectations for all pupils through aspirational target setting

 

We are really proud of the outcomes achieved by our English Department. Last year our results were:

 

                English Language  9-4: 82%    9-5: 66%

English Literature 9-4: 83%   9-5: 69%
