ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

37 HOURS PER WEEK, Term Time only plus 1 extra week in the school holidays

Single Status Grade 4 Points 9-10 (£18,426 – £18,795)

Actual Salary £15,974 – £16,294

We are seeking an excellent Administrative Assistant to work in our all through school. You will provide an excellent customer and administration service to meet the needs of our staff, pupils and parents/carers.

 

Duties for this role include;

  • Creating word processed documents including mail-merged letters, memos and parental information. Data entry on computerised systems and providing reports.
  • supporting the school reception of telephone calls and dealing with parents/carers
  • maintain existing and develop new systems to secure efficiency across the school.
  • supporting colleagues and providing a professional administrative service

GUIDANCE LEADER - 1 day (7 hours) per week

GUIDANCE LEADER

1 day (7 hours) per week – Term time only plus one extra day in the school holiday

Day of work: Wednesday 8.00am – 3.30pm

Single Status Grade 5 Points 12-13 (£19,171 – £19,554)

Actual Salary – £3,144 – £3,207

Start date: September 2019

Fixed term until 31 August 2020

 

We are looking to appoint a Guidance Leader in our Secondary Phase of our All-through school.  The post is offered as a  challenging and rewarding opportunity for applicants from a variety of employment backgrounds. If successful you will become a valued member of our Inclusion Team and will be attached to a year/s group with a variety of responsibilities. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills required for working with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies.

 

  • Do you have the ability to engage with young people?
  • Are you an excellent team worker and communicator?
  • Do you have the knowledge and understanding of the needs of young people within the educational environment?
  • Can you work collaboratively to promote positive pupil behaviour and a positive attitude to learning?
  • Can you support pupils to take the best advantage of the opportunities offered by a school which aspires to become outstanding?

 

This role is an increadibly important one; the success of any year group is undoubtly underpinned by the effectiveness and impact of the year group’s pastoral team.  The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and have  a good knowledge and understanding of pastoral support strategies.  Above all, you must be passionate about ensuring our pupils receive outstanding pastoral care and have a mind-set of believing anything is possible.
