BTEC Science Information Evening

Unfortunately, due to low returns, we have cancelled the BTEC Science Information evening, planned for 16th May. If you require information about the BTEC course, please contact your child’s science teacher.

Art at The Towner

Cavendish School are thrilled to be be represented at the Towner Art Gallery, Eastbourne, as part of the 2012 School Project and the Annual Schools ART Exhibition. Students created work based on their thoughts and feelings of the local area, focusing on journeys and maps, with the overarching theme of this years project being local and cultural pride. Inspiration for the student’s work came from works from the Towner collection, depicting urban countryside and seaside scenes.  The exhibition is open to the public 12 May -10 June 2012 with a private viewing from 3.30-6pm on Friday 11th May for pupils, teachers and parents. We hope to see you there.

Uniform Update 2012-13

Our school website (under the About Us heading)  has full details of the Academy proposal and you will also find a summary of the responses to the consultation.
We anticipate the application process will take up to four or five months. During this time the school will be keeping parents, carers and stakeholders informed of the progress of the application via the school website.

Free School Meals

The Cavendish School would like to help families whose children could get free school meals to apply for them. The School Meals services provide a healthy nutritious and tasty lunch and research shows that a school meal can help concentration levels. Many are eligible for this free service.
